Morrisville lumber company is a family owned business with a longstanding, proud tradition of providing quality service, hardware and building materials throughout Vermont. For nearly 70 years we have been serving the Lamoille County area with a wide selection of hardware and building materials ranging from your basic nuts and bolts to exotic hardwoods and custom millwork.
Bruno Loati purchased Morrisville Lumber, then known as City Lumber, from the Schine brothers of Bridgeport, CT in 1946. After years of continued growth, Morrisville Lumber established a second location in lower village of Stowe, VT in 1976.
Loati maintained his ownership of both locations until his death in 1985, at which point his son, Mark Loati purchased the business. To this day Mark continues as the owner of both locations and is proud to share that the family business tradition still exists. Mark continues to work at the Morrisville location, yet now has help from his son Kurt and his daughter Alison. Kurt has worked at Morrisville Lumber since 2000 filling a variety of roles and positions and currently manages the Morrisville location. Alison moved over from the banking world in 2012 and currently oversees the advertising and HR while supporting the inside sales staff and providing customer service, also at the Morrisville location.
Since 1972 (Morrisville), and 1976 (Stowe), Morrisville Lumber Company has been a proud member of True Value Company. However with recent changes in business strategy and ever changing economy we have adapted and are excited to announce that we have left True Value and will simply return to our roots as “Morrisville Lumber Company”! As we look to the future we are excited with what we see and hope to continue to provide excellent service and materials to our customers.
